Join us as we come together to showcase all things fitness and sports-related in Monroe and surrounding counties! This is an effort to encourage a more active lifestyle for the citizens of Monroe County. The event will include activities, performances, athletic sign-ups, educational info, booths, and guest speakers. The event is free and open to the entire community. Door prizes will be given out throughout the day and demonstrations are welcome with pre-registration. Call 423-545-3015 for more information.
In honor of National Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month, our Health Council participates in both local and global campaigns. Self-defense classes are offered to local Girl Scout troops, presentations are given at local schools within SADD Clubs of Monroe County, and our social media presence is periodically made relevant to the cause. It is our desire to educate our local youth about healthy relationships, as well as to serve those who have been affected by unhealthy relationships and/or domestic violence. If you would like more information about our local victim-service agency, Monroe STOPe, or if you need help and are in an abusive situation, call 423-519-1232.
